ALL art is fan art. ALL of it.
Fan of forms. Colours. Geometry. Faces. Blorbo. Self-expression. Telling others Things. Confusing people. Challenging people and ideas. Textures. Patterns. Frogs. Emotions.
There's no working on something for 40++++++++ hours up to even years if you're not a fan of what you're arting. Or being paid generously by someone else to art their thing because you have talent and finessed your craft. The craft you're a fan of.
ALL ART IS FAN ART
I don't really feel like going down the fan art vs. real art road this evening without clawing my face off so please don't send any more asks about it. It's 2024 not 2012.

Cocoapowder is so funny to me because I can DISTINCTLY imagine the horror on Chara's face as they realize they not only caught feelings (something I'm sure they're scared of already) but for Clover of all people (embarrassing) (they'd prefer to just die again) and I appreciate you helping me realize this with your art
oh this is so real
cocoapowder in any context is a funny ship dynamic to think about, you got this kid that has convinced themselves all their life that humans are the worst thing to ever happen
and then you get this other kid, who's love for humanity shows
i feel like chara would be throughly in denial at first, since by catching feelings for clover their whole world view falls appart, this whole narrative they'd created about humans being all rotten to the core was wrong
they're wrong about humanity, thus, they're wrong about themselves
accepting they have feelings for clover(or any human for that matter) is accepting there's good in them

anyway here ya go have a whole comic about this LMAOOO

waking up and going to school in the morning only to notice a bouquet of your favourite flowers at your doorstep
you inspect them carefully, and you notice each and every one is vibrant and flawless, as if they were picked meticulously with care
there's a little card along with the twine tying the bouquet together
"happy valentine's day, prefect"
these are for you??? who was so thoughtful to do something like this??
hmmm...
wait! you've only mentioned your favourite flowers to a few amount of people
and you're pretty sure which one said list of people would be most likely to leave flowers for you
lucky him then. you were already planning on getting him a box of his favourite chocolates

TWST Rant (!Spoilers!)
Tumblr media
I was wondering about the cast of twisted wonderland in regards to their wealth and status. The majority of the twst boys are well off and of high status, but the whole wealth system of twst varies. I was trying to place the cast in order of who might actually be the wealthiest, so this is a little analysis rant!
Wealth and status obviously vary, Royal wealth would obviously be considered more valuable, so I would say Malleus and Leona would be presumably the richest since they are direct decendants of royal families. Malleus considerably ranking 1st, in my opinion, since he is to inherit the throne as first prince, while Leona is the second prince and holds just slightly less power in terms of a hypothetical hierarchy.
We all know from book 6 that Idia (and ortho) is from the Shroud family and will inherit the household and STYX. His grandmother was the original director of STYX that was later passed down to Idia's father. The organisation is highly influential and it is speculated for the Shroud family to be as rich if not more than the Asim family.
After Idia, I would put Kalim. We aren't exactly sure who is actually wealthier between the two but I would say the Shroud family directing STYX would be more influential on a larger scale. Kalim is born to a merchant family, I feel like some of the fandom collectively considers him a prince, but that is simply not true. Kalim is from a very wealthy family of merchants with some royal relatives, but he himself, if not royal in any ways. Kalim himself states "the Asims aren’t royalty, and I’m not a prince. I’ve got some relatives in the royal family, though.” The Asims are clearly very well off with many connections (even how kalim was accepted in NRC through his place being payed for presumably, most likely for connection since the family are merchants).
The following is more tricky for me to place. Vil is a different kind of rich, scaling more of fame and popularity. He's a world-known model with a famous actor father. He is from a privileged status in the show bizz and made a name for himself. We know that he's well travelled and known, from a young age his father always took him all over the world to establish connections and so on. However, I also see Rook being not that far off him in terms of wealth. Rook doesn't exactly have the same level of fame as the other characters, but the Hunt family has Villas in EVERY country within TWST. In Book 6, Rook suggested to MC and Epel to use warp pads or transporters from one of the villas to a closer destination. The transporter situation, according to Epel, is a big deal that requires permission to even have, let alone in every country. So Rook is of very high wealth and has direct ties to the government but is less talked about in that regard compared to other characters. So I don't know if he would be higher than Vil? It's possible.
Riddle is from a noble family with parents who are doctors. I would say they are rich. It is speculated by some that Riddle could somehow be tied to the Queen of Hearts, but it's not specified that he's royalty anywhere. Azul, in my opinion, would follow after. His family does make money, his mother owning a restaurant and stepfather being a lawyer. Azul himself runs Montre Lounge on campus as well as his shady deals. Azul is more bussiness wealthy out of the boys. I would asign Floyd and Jade alongside him. Even running of the fact that Floyd legit has top branded shoes in his vignette. I speculate that Floyd and Jade might actually be wealthier than that (I love the Mafia headcanons), and Jade is able to get expensive gifts and stuff. I wouldn't go as far to say that the Leech family is totally loaded, but they are definelty powerful within the Coral Sea.
The rest of the list is hard to place and up for debate.
Lilia has the advantage of being the oldest of the cast living for over 700 years and being a general to the royals. He has direct ties to Malleus, but I can't exactly place where he would be. In terms of hierarchy, he's a bat type of fae, which we're considered lower class in the fae community at the time, so he would have been seen as less by other members of his society. But he most likely has connections and ties. Dare I say if he wanted to sell his artifacts, he'll definelty be hella rich, lmao.
Clover family, I think they are a typical working class family. They have their own bakery bussiness but work constantly according to Trey, so that must mean they have income but one that you have to keep working for. Trey talks about that when they were busy, he would cook or get his younger brother tickets to spelldrive on allowance money and that parents would stock up on ingredients. Based on that, I would say Trey is off on a more "enough" to live a sustained lifestyle type of money. Like a more casual type of family with a few children (again, children need more money to be sustained)
Next, I would place all the connected working characters like Sebek, Silver, and Jamil. This seems considerably low, but hear me out. They are not exactly poor characters. They are very directly connected to noble people, though. Sebek has a military connected family right under Draconias' command as well puts both silver and him fairly high up. They are not independently wealthy but can experience more luxury lifestyles because of who they serve. Their status consists of being guards of a royal persona. Therefore, they hold a portion of recognition. Jamils case is complicated. The Viper family is born into servitude and are highly dependent on them in that manner. In a way, they could be counted as "working class," but I beg to differ in a way. Working for the Asim does benefit living standards and experiences, for example, even with being able to access better quality foods, living style, etc. It obviously comes with the downside like jamil risking his life for kalims safety (e.g., being a posion tester and constantly doing labour). In a way, despite not having personal property like Kalim, Jamil is still exposed to more luxurious items, products, etc. And it's hard to judge where he is on the richest ranking because he's directly bound to Kalim, almost like a hypothetical "contract" he's born into. More of being born into a rich environment but not being wealthy himself.
Lastly, poor baby Ruggie. Ruggie, being born in poverty, in the slums is the only character in NRC who is specified to be poor. Being born in poverty with his parents both dying early on, he was surrounded by other slum children who he considers siblings and often had to fight for food.He survived through hustling different jobs later on to work his way up. We know he hustles at Montre Lounge and for Leona to make any money and does try to make a bargain for any opportunity. Out of the entire cast, Ruggie is canonically poor.
Epel,Jack, Ace, Cater, and Deuce are ones who are a bit more confusing because they have less information on them. I've been thinking about Jack. His status is not exactly clear, and I can't find any evidence to pinpoint his social standing much. I would place him above Ace. In my analysis, I considered that Jack met vil when they were children, and i think Jack could even be higher on the list. i just can't find anything to clarify that. I would assume vil would have lived in a fairly well-off environment since he was a kid, so the neighbourhood must have been at least middle class or something. Just running off that, I would say Jack might be more middle class to average. He does have multiple siblings that need money to sustain. Ace states before to azul in a luxe couture vingette that he can't "afford the high-brand clothes." So I would say he's off a more average family type of income. With in this rank, I would also place Epel. He did mislead his dormates into believing that he's a noble and Vil suggesting epel to not use his dialect to not give away his actual position. His family aren't mages, which maybe within twisted wonderland would be lower class. But they are farmers from Harveston. Harveston isn't well known but does produce apples that does provide them with some form of trade and income for sure. Cater talks of not having enough money sometimes, but he's a very dual type of character that tends to mask things a lot. I think he's maybe just above average, actually. He claims to occasionally not have money. Someone let me know his father is a banker, but it's unclear how much the Diamond family actually owns or makes, but I think he hides his true position. We know Deuce has a mother who works with the White Rabbit logo trade chain. There's no indication to pinpoint where the Spade family is at, so I would also say around average. We know Deuces father walked out on them so Dylla is the working mother, I'm assuming the family is also a type to have enough money to live but no extra to spend (on stuff like luxury items). Deuce definitely got his wallet up after fixing Malleus's tamagochi and getting some pricey gems from him.

If you know any information on some characters, feel free to share!

It still stuns me how hard the MLB writing crew is going to bat for Gabriel just so they can avoid saying "Yeah, we might have screwed up a bit on the "Abusive Villain Parent with a hidden Heart Of Gold" angle here.". Like the sheer amount of retconning, creating entire specials/events to either shill for him or justify letting him off the hook and giving him his win, forcing characters into OOC positions to defend him, and just plain handwaving his crimes in the service of not letting anyone in-series or the audience (rightfully) say that he was a terrible father and person is honestly...just fascinating in a very "I want to study this under a microscope" sort of way. Not even the self-made PR teams for villains in fandom go this hard.

I feel like Twisted Wonderland is in its own 4Kids era from how bad the English translations are sometimes.
We got people out here believing Azul, Jade, and Floyd aren't really friends, Jamil's plan wasn't caused by the caste system and he's just out to get Kalim for no reason, Riddle is a whiney little b*tch, Trey not having a spine AT ALL, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
I really didn't think the translations were that bad when it first came out, but as someone who's been following the story and has been a part of the fandom since the game's debut, I genuinely don't understand why they changed so much of the dialogue.
A call to the English translators: GET. IT. TOGETHER.

A fun question popped into my head while I was watching old twisted wonderland gacha videos.
What would happen if other Twisted Wonderland characters overbloted ?
How difficult would it be to deal with them ?
How would their unique magic work in this state ?
So I have decided to make a list of headcanons for all of the non-overblot NRC students answering those questions.
Heartslabyul
Ace Trappola ❤️ :
-considering the fact that he doesn’t have his unique magic yet, he would be less difficult to deal with then others.
- But his wind magic could make things get out of hand so he still remains a threat.
- There’s not much I can say about him tbh.
Deuce Spade ♠️ :
- Already more of a problem than Ace !
- Not only is he more used to fighting without magic.
- But his Unique Magic [Bet the limit] would allow him to stock up all the damage dealt to him only to send it back to his attacker twofold.
- You would have to BET your life every time you attacked him, the only way to stop him would be to keep hitting him and hope you beat him before he releases your attacks back to you.
Cater Diamond ♦️ :
- 1 overblot is already bad.
- Now imagine that Overblot duplicating itself, all of its copies having the same abilities as the original.
- Cater’s [Split Card] boosted by the Phantom would make him an absolute nightmare.
- And he’s also pretty skilled in magic due to him being a third year.
- Let’s not forget that Cater canonically beat Floyd with his Unique Magic, He is not messing around !
Trey Clover 🍀 :
- ALSO A MASSIVE PROBLEM.
- Trey’ s [Doodle Suit] allows him to overwrite any element he chooses, including other people’s magic (As seen against Riddle’s overblot during Book 1).
- His Unique Magic is OP in this scenario especially when it is boosted by the Phantom.
- Imagine not being able to do anything at all against Trey, if it’s THAT boosted even Malleus could potentially be weakened.
- Also a 3rd year like Cater so he is definitely more adept at using magic than a regular 1st or 2nd year.
(- side tangent : In the English Manga of Twisted Wonderland, Trey’s Unique Magic is called [Doodle Suit] in the 2nd volume but it’s changed to [Paint the roses] in the 3rd volume. Like, make up your mind.)
Savanaclaw
Ruggie Bucchi 🍩 :
- Remember when he could control an entire crowd of people with his Unique Magic after drinking a potion from Azul ?
- Imagine how many people he could control now that he has a constant buff from his Phantom…
- That is terrifying.
- He could use your friends and family as a meat shield, he could force you to kill them.
- If he overblots at least one person is going to die or be severely wounded.
Jack Howl 🐺 :
- Physically speaking, Jack could do a lot of damage.
- And he can definitely maul someone by transforming into a wolf with [Unleash Beast].
- But other than those, he would be similar to Ace in the way that he is not that OP compared to others.
Octavinelle
Jade & Floyd Leech 🦈 :
- Hear me out, they would definitely overblot at the same time.
- And there would be hell to pay.
- Jade’s [Shock the heart] won’t be useful in battle, but Floyd’s [Bind the heart] would allow all attacks to miss both him and Jade.
- And while you could potentially make that magic fail by making Floyd demotivated. Something tells me that Jade might be able to make sure THAT doesn’t happen.
- They have been working together since they were born and have survived a brutal ocean. They can work together almost perfectly (as seen in the Octavinelle book)
- I also believe that they would revert back to their mer-form like Azul did and therefore be just as fast on land as they are in the sea.
(- also it’s implied that Jade chose Floyd out of all his siblings and both of them either killed/canibalized or let their siblings die. The Ocean is its own kind of unforgiving jungle.)
Scarabia
Kalim Al-Asim 🔱 :
-Kalim’s overblot would be sad not because of his backstory but because unlike the others overblots.
- He would (un)consciously use his Unique Magic [Oasis Maker] (a symbol of life) to drown both himself and everyone else.
- After all he can fill up an entire dried river while using very little magic, imagine that paired with the Phantom Boost.
- He would probably overblot because of guilt or pent up sadness and that would lead him to…
Flood the whole world with his tears.
Pomefiore
Rook Hunt 🪶:
- While not physically dangerous, Rook is an excellent hunter and manipulator.
- He knows almost everything about everyone.
- He knows how they look, how they act, who they cherish most and what their weaknesses are.
- His objective would probably be to capture every person that he finds ‘beautiful’ and to try and keep them by his side forever like precious art pieces.
- FULL ON YANDERE
- Worst part is his Unique Magic [I see you] allows him to know EXACTLY where you are. And you won’t know if you you have been targeted by him since it’s magical signature is extremely weak.
- It also works on objects !
- Even if you manage to hide somewhere he can’t reach, he could still use a family member or another loved one to lure you out.
- He’s not scary because he is super-powerful, he is scary because he knows exactly what you are going to do and how to exploit your weaknesses.
Epel Felmier 🍎 :
— While normally he wouldn’t too threatening due to him being a weaker magician than Vil.
- His Unique Magic [Sleep Kiss] allows him to trap people/robots into crystal coffins that make the victim fall asleep.
- They would be forever trapped inside a glass coffin making them unable to be hurt but also unable to stop Epel.
- The only saving grace is that Epel’s Unique Magic has a 75% hit rate. So there’s a 25% chance that he misses. It’s better than nothing !
Ignihyde
They technically both overbloted. So….next.
Diasomnia
Lilia Vanrouge 🦇 :
- Him overblotting would probably make all of his magic come back as if he was in his prime.
- And Lilia is scary powerful to begin with but he can potentially go toe to toe with Malleus if he has both his experience as well as his original magical and physical abilities (as seen in Book 7).
- His Unique Magic wouldn’t be very useful in this case but he is still a very big threat to everyone around him while he’s in Overblot.
Silver (Vanrouge) 🗡️ :
- Similar to Jack in the sense that…
- While he is physically powerful (swordsmanship and being taught by Lilia) and is probably extremely adept at using magic.
- I don’t think he is too much of a threat since his Unique Magic [Meet in a dream] only works if he’s asleep and won’t affect anyone who is awake.
- So unless his Unique Magic somehow becomes like Malleus (makes everyone fall asleep/ traps everyone in a dream) or he overblots while everyone is asleep.
- He won’t be too much of a threat unlike others.
Sebek Zigvolt 🐊 :
- While less powerful than Silver and less adept at magic (according to book 7 anyway).
- Sebek’s [ Living Bolt] would make him a bit more threatening due to his Unique Magic allowing him to turn his body into lightning allowing him to be faster and stronger.
- And while the boost will make it so he can use his magic for longer periods of time, I have no doubt that it would cause him so much pain that he would be weak enough to be defeated.
Here we are, my hand hurts and I spent two hours on this !
Feel free to add your own headcanons to this rant !
Have a good day/night !

So I'm very curious in the Corpse Possession scenario, how do the main cast's relationship to Clover change and how are they impacted? Does it effect how close they get to Clover since they're a bit more off putting?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They definitely are the strange person to be around thats for sure Dalv is completely unaffected, still having moved to snowdin but with Flowey having no actual reason to go back to the place, his friendship and last impression of Clover has not changed! But Clovers friendship with the others definitely won't be going as peachy, a creepy silent kid who stumbles around isn't the first candidate you wanna try and be friends with. Starlo's enthusiasm upon meeting Clover won't change, but as the attempted missions go (keyword being attempted), and more oddities are noticed, it'd definitely be a strange deputy and sheriff duo. Minus Dalv, Starlos friendship with them wouldn't be too different, he can overlook their weirdness. Cerobas friendship with Clover will not be able to happen, unable to even tell if they possess a pure soul, she won't accompany them in the steamworks, and unlike Starlo, she'll be more on edge.
Axis will be one of the characters that reallly notice something just isn't right, and like somebody else who presents themself as to much of a problem, hes dealt with. Martlet will continue to stick with Clover in the same way she normally would in a normal pacifist, probably to brush their weirdness off first as a hit on the head, but when the encounter on the hotels roof comes along, theres somethings she has questions about, and she doesn't think the answers are good ones. (coughcough hey Clover whats with the vines coming out of your chest?)

In the vein of my previous post: 'eff it, Martlet does 90% of the talking for Clover. Clover ends up with pickles on their burger when they specified that they didn't want any, and Martlet spends several minutes debating whether they should call the waiter over to get their burger replaced, but the restaurant is so crowded and they shouldn't give the wait staff even more work, but even if you take the pickles off you'll still be able to taste them because the pickle juice has soaked into the bun, but... . And Clover just says "It's fine." and picks them off. Martlet spends a bit too long rambling or her thought train runs off the rails and they're the one to remind her to get to the point/remind her of what she was saying before she spiraled too deeply into explaining a certain detail.
Adventures of a verbose scatterbrained lesbian and her mostly silent sort-of kid.

being afamilial sucks so bad. The best way I can describe it is this: let’s say you’re stuck in a toxic romantic relationship or even a good romantic relationship but you’re just not romantically attracted to your partner. Except it’s the most basic of social norms that you love that partner and do anything in your power to protect them.
now transfer that over to family. I do not love my family. To me, they’re a bunch of strangers that I got shoved in with and am forced to live with and pretend to enjoy the company of. My sister always wants to hang out with me, my mom and dad always insist on family time, but I want to just be in my room and ignore them all. I genuinely am thankful for everything they’ve done for me, and I would literally die without them cause food and stuff, and they’re not fundamentally bad people so it could be worse, but it feels like im stuck in a charade where nobody else knows we’re playing a game.
